Designing for AI failure is designing the product

A loading state is predictable. An AI failure can be plausible, polished, and wrong. That makes conventional error handling insufficient.

Design must help people notice uncertainty, verify important claims, and repair outcomes without losing their work.

Recovery over apology

The useful question is not how elegantly the product says sorry. It is how quickly a person can diagnose, correct, and continue.
